Charles Lindsey, M.D. joined City of Hope® Cancer Center Chicago in 2003 as a hospitalist, managing and coordinating the care of for patients who are admitted to the hospital for an inpatient stay.
Dr. Lindsey earned a medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School (now known as the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science) in North Chicago, Illinois. Afterwards, he completed a residency in family practice through the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), serving as a resident physician at a number of MCW-affiliated hospitals in Southeast Wisconsin, including Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare — All Saints in Racine. He also helped train medical students at the Racine Family Practice Center and the medical and obstetric wards within the All Saints Healthcare system. For his efforts, he was honored by MCW and the residency program with a teaching award.
Prior to his role at City of Hope, Dr. Lindsey was an attending physician at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, Illinois, and a provider at a private practice in Zion, Illinois.
An advocate for empowering people with information, Dr. Lindsey has presented to other health care providers and the community on multiple topics, including colorectal cancer diagnosis, treatment and screening, as well as chronic congestive heart failure. Additionally, he actively volunteers with the Student National Medical Association’s Chicago Medical School Chapter.
