Shanmuga Subbiah, M.D., M.RC.P., is a medical oncologist at City of Hope® Upland, prior to which he also practiced ot City of Hope's locations in West Covina, Glendora and Colton. Dr Subbiah was previously medical director at both Emanate Cancer Center in West Covina and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California. He also held clinical and academic positions with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Creighton University and the Department of Veterans Affairs, all in Omaha.
Dr. Subbiah completed his medical degree and internship at Chennai Medical College in India. Following a residency in internal medicine and medical oncology with the National Health Service in the United Kingdom, he pursued a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Board-certified in internal medicine and with subspecialties in hematology and oncology, Dr. Subbiah speaks both English and Tamil.
