Karl Gaal, M.D., is a hematopathologist and surgical pathologist. His clinical expertise is in acute myeloid leukemia.

Dr. Afkhami is a professor of molecular genomic pathology and hematopathology, CLIA director of Clinical Molecular Genomics and Cytogenomics laboratory, and division chief of molecular pathology and therapy biomarkers at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Patricia Aoun, M.D., M.P.H., is the CLIA Laboratory director, chief of the Division of Clinical Pathology and a hematopathologist in the Department of Pathology at City of Hope.

Dr. Carlson is a professor and chief in the Division of Anatomic Pathology, Department of Pathology

Olga Danilova, M.D., Ph.D., is a pathologist in the Department of Pathology at City of Hope.

Young Kim, M.D., is a clinical professor in the Department of Pathology, with a research focus in leukemia.

Pathologist Winston Lee, M.D., Ph.D., centers his philosophy of care on putting himself into the patient’s shoes. He is driven by both this empathy and his deep appreciation for the complexity and elegance of the human immune system.

Raju Pillai, M.D., is a hematopathologist and molecular pathologist in the Department of Pathology at City of Hope.

Lorinda Soma, M.D., makes it her goal to provide the highest quality diagnostic care, as quickly and as economically as possible. In her role as a pathologist specializing in blood cancers, she prioritizes collaboration, both with her colleagues in the lab and with clinicians and radiologists.
