LOS ANGELES — City of Hope®, one of the nation’s largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations, has named Nisha Morris as senior vice president and chief marketing and communications officer. In this new role, Morris leads the enterprise and regional strategy for brand, marketing and external communications across one of the nation’s leading cancer research and care systems, spanning five metropolitan markets in four states.
Since joining City of Hope’s executive leadership team, Morris has played a central role in elevating the organization’s visibility, strengthening brand consistency and aligning communications and marketing across diverse communities. In her previous role as Chief Communications Officer, she advanced City of Hope’s national profile through integrated campaigns, executive thought leadership and high impact storytelling that highlighted clinical excellence, research leadership and innovation. Under her leadership, the organization expanded reach nationally and reinforced its position as a leading destination for cancer care.
From 2018 to 2023, Morris served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for City of Hope Orange County, where she successfully launched the brand in a crowded market and led award-winning initiatives that drove significant gains in awareness and preference ahead of the opening of its $1.5 billion cancer center.
Prior to City of Hope, Morris served as Chief Strategic Communications Officer and Senior Executive Advisor at the U.S. National Security Agency, leading a global communications organization of more than 300 professionals. She has also held senior leadership roles at Providence and Dell. Ms. Morris is recognized as one of America’s top communications leaders and a frequent recipient of national industry awards for excellence.
