Center for Gene Therapy
Clinical Translation of Next-Generation Cell and Gene Engineering
At City of Hope, we believe the future of medicine can be found deep within each of us — in our own stem cells. We are very excited about the vast potential of stem cell-based therapies to save lives and fundamentally change the way we treat cancer, diabetes, AIDS and many other diseases.
The Center for Gene Therapy, within the Hematologic Malignancies Research Institute, is dedicated to unlocking that potential through world-class research, and converting that knowledge into real-world treatments and cures as rapidly as possible.
To accelerate this bench-to-bedside approach, the Center for Gene Therapy partners with nursing at the City of Hope Alpha Stem Cell Clinic, a member of the alpha clinics network funded by the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine. The City of Hope Alpha Clinic is intended to accelerate the delivery of stem-cell based therapies to save lives and fundamentally change the way we treat cancer, diabetes, AIDS and many other diseases.
