Abstract submission form link opens early May. Authors will be able to make changes to their submission up to the abstract closing date via the link provided in the confirmation email. Please contact [email protected] to add your name to our mailing list for all updates.
Submission Guidelines
All submissions should follow the general instructions for abstract length and content (refer below). A nonrefundable abstract submission fee of $50 is also due and payable at the time of abstract submission. Submission of an abstract does not constitute or guarantee registration.
Selection Process
Submissions are reviewed by a committee and scored on the evaluation of the title, abstract content, and overall Symposium theme. Notification of acceptance/rejection will be sent to the author the week of Sept. 1, 2025.
Abstract submissions accepted by the committee will be published in the Symposium syllabus and/or meeting app.
Poster Session
All accepted abstracts will be presented at the poster session on Nov. 14, 2025. This networking opportunity allows for direct interaction and significant exchange of ideas between attendees.
Oral Presentation and Scientific Achievement Award
Accepted abstracts that score amongst the top tier will be invited to participate in one of the Symposium sessions and panel discussions and/or awarded with a Scientific Achievement Award and travel stipend. Notifications will be sent to the author the week of Sept. 1, 2025.
General Instructions
Text: All text should be entered as Arial font size 12. For Greek and scientific symbols (alpha, beta, etc.), use the Symbol option on the tool bar, do not copy from other documents. For example: α-helix, β cells.
Length: The abstract should be 300 words max. The abstract title, authors’ names, affiliation, support sources, and references are NOT counted toward this allotment.
Format: All documents must be submitted as an Adobe PDF file (.pdf)
Abstracts cannot contain data already accepted for publication in any online or Pub-Med indexed venue at the time of abstract submission. Abstracts cannot contain data previously presented at a national meeting within the USA at the time of abstract submission.
Authorship on multiple abstracts is permitted.
Abbreviations that are familiar to researchers are acceptable without explanation.
For laboratory parameters, the units of measurement and normal ranges must be provided.
Statements about ongoing studies or pending results should be avoided.
Do not include figures, tables or references.
Abstract Instructions
Abstract Title: Use title case for the entire title.
Author and Affiliation: Enter all the author names and affiliations. Presenting author in bold text. Refer to the example below.
