Hope Is A Rising Tide
At City of Hope, hope is never static. It rises through leading-edge innovation,
world-renowned care, and the collective strength of a community united in purpose.
Hope lifts everyone — and everything — upward. Like a rising tide, it carries us toward new horizons, where each
new sunrise brings fresh discoveries and groundbreaking progress in the fight against cancer.
In partnership with Lido Marina Village, City of Hope has transformed the parking structure into a large-scale outdoor gallery featuring commissioned, site-specific works by Southern California artists. United by a shared theme, the installation reimagines a familiar space as something meaningful. As the first and last touchpoint for more than one million visitors each year, the structure now carries more than arrivals and departures. It carries a story rooted in momentum, resilience, and community strength.
Just as a rising tide gains strength with each swell, every floor builds on the one below it, celebrating the people,
discoveries, and courage that make City of Hope extraordinary.
Four Levels. One Rising Story.
Across four levels, the murals reflect the forces that drive progress in the fight against cancer.
A tribute to the groundbreaking research and discoveries happening every day at City of Hope — one of the nation’s leading institutions devoted exclusively to cancer.
An expression of the physicians, nurses, and specialists whose singular focus gives patients confidence in the fight.
A celebration of the survivors whose courage inspires everything we do, and to the remarkable community of supporters, donors, families and friends who walked every step of that journey with them.
No roof, no ceiling — up here on top of the world, the sky is cast open with renewed possibility and hope for a cancer-free future. We celebrate brighter horizons for all, from this ocean to the opposite side of the world.
