City of Hope's Sumanta Kumar Pal, M.D. and colleagues found that bladder cancer clinical trials are concentrated in high-income countries. Their study, published in Cancers, analyzed 611 trials from 2019-2024, revealing 75.1% were HIC-only. Non-HIC trials had lower enrollment and less pharmaceutical funding. Mixed-income trials, while expanding access, were HIC-led and require balanced sponsorship and early-phase research to address global disparities in bladder cancer care.
