City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte is undergoing a series of transformations that necessitate parking and road changes. Our parking ambassadors are on site to direct and assist you. Please look for staff wearing blue jackets, white polo shirts and blue shorts/pants.

Why are changes happening at the Duarte Cancer Center?

City of Hope Cancer Center Duarte is enhancing its facilities to deliver even better care for our patients and staff. Once the initial phase is complete, we will have doubled our patient parking capacity, built a state-of-the-art outpatient center and completed planning for a second inpatient tower to be connected to City of Hope Helford Clinical Research Hospital.

Where do I enter the campus?

Please note that the main entrance has changed until further notice. Most patients and visitors should now enter campus via Village Road/Duarte Road or Buena Vista Street. All patients and blood donors visiting the Michael Amini Transfusion Medicine Center should enter the campus via Duarte Road and Circle Road and proceed to Parking Structure A.

Where do I park?

Self-parking is available free of charge at Lot G (Lot E for overflow). Valet parking ($4, or $2 for those with a disabled placard) is available at Helford Hospital. New patients attending their first appointment at the main campus may valet park for free.

If you're donating blood or visiting the Amini Center, enter the campus via Duarte Road, turning onto Circle Road. Parking is available in Parking Structure A. If you're going in for treatment at the Outpatient Imaging Center, please park directly in front of the building in Lot D.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Yes. Please bring your photo ID, insurance card, and proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test (taken within the last 72 hours) with you to every appointment.

Who can help me find my appointment?

A parking ambassador can help you locate a parking spot, and you can ask a staff member to escort you to your appointment.

Do I have to pay for parking now or in the future?

No. Self-parking is free for patients and visitors.

How do I find a parking ambassador?

Parking ambassadors are stationed at Lots G (Lot E for overflow), A, B and D and at the Helford Hospital and Geri & Richard Brawerman Ambulatory Care Center entrances. Please look for staff wearing blue jackets, white polo shirts and blue shorts/pants.

What tools are available to help me get to City of Hope and around the campus once I am there?

Our parking ambassadors are available to help. They can help you locate a spot or get to your appointment.

Where do I park if I’m donating blood or visiting the Amini Center?

Patients or blood donors visiting the Amini Center can park in Parking Structure A, which is accessible via Duarte Road and Circle Road.

Where do I enter campus if I’m visiting the Amini Center?

You should enter campus via Duarte Road and Circle Road and proceed to Parking Structure A.

Will there be parking ambassadors at the Amini Center?

Yes. Parking ambassadors will be available in Parking Structure A to guide you to the Amini Center. Please look for staff wearing blue jackets, white polo shirts and blue shorts/pants.

Outpatient Imaging Center parking FAQs

Where do I park if I’m visiting the Outpatient Imaging Center?

Please park directly in front of the building in Lot D.

Where do I enter campus if I’m visiting the Outpatient Imaging Center?

Please note that the main entrance has changed until further notice. You must now enter campus via Village Road/Duarte Road or Buena Vista Street.

Will there be parking ambassadors at the Outpatient Imaging Center?

Yes. Parking ambassadors will be available at the Outpatient Imaging Center. Please look for staff wearing blue jackets, white polo shirts and khaki shorts/pants.

Their main role is to help patients navigate the campus to and from their appointment. Parking ambassadors won't be helping patients park their cars. You may proceed to City of Hope Helford Clinical Research Hospital for valet parking ($4 or $2 for those with a disabled placard).

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Shuttle Service FAQs

Does City of Hope offer a Shuttle Service?

The Duarte shuttle service is free and available to transport City of Hope patients and visitors to Helford Clinical Research Hospital and other key buildings throughout the Duarte campus.

The shuttle service operates Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shuttles are boarded at designated stops only.

The shuttle signs contain a QR code to track the shuttle location. The shuttles arrive at each stop every 10-15 minutes.
