An NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center

Your Cancer Care During COVID-19

Coronavirus is particularly dangerous for people with cancer, especially those with compromised immune systems. More than ever, our patients need assurance and safe access to life-saving cancer care. As a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, City of Hope is a leader in treatment, research and outreach and has the highest standards for infection prevention and control.
At this time, all research and clinical services will continue at the main campus in Duarte, California, and the nearly 30 locations throughout Southern California. As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we've taken preventive measures — based on the latest recommendations from public health authorities — to protect you and our staff.

Caring for you

Your health is our highest priority, which is why we urge you to maintain your treatments, screenings and appointments during this difficult time. Learn how we're caring for you and keeping you safe from COVID-19.

Coming to City of Hope

To reduce the risk of COVID-19, we no longer allow our patients to have visitors (including caregivers) at any of our City of Hope locations, with some limited exceptions. Everyone will be required to wear a mask at all times. If a patient arrives without a mask, we’ll provide one.

Supporting You

To support our patients’ emotional needs during the COVID-19 situation, we provide services in psychology, social work, palliative care, physical and occupational therapy, and nutritional and financial counseling.

A Message to Our Patients

City of Hope is taking every measure necessary to protect the health of our patients, visitors and our staff.
This message from Michael Caligiuri, M.D., president of City of Hope National Medical Center, explains how.
