General Info FAQs

Why Are Changes Happening at the Main Campus?

City of Hope is enhancing its facilities to deliver even better care for our patients and staff. Once the initial phase is complete, we will have doubled our patient parking capacity, built a state-of-the-art outpatient center and completed planning for a second inpatient tower to be connected to City of Hope Helford Clinical Research Hospital.

Where Do I Enter the Campus?

Please note that the main entrance has changed until further notice. Most patients and visitors should now enter campus via Village Road/Duarte Road or Buena Vista Street. Beginning Monday, March 7, 2022, all patients and blood donors visiting the Michael Amini Transfusion Medicine Center should enter the campus via Duarte Road and Circle Road and proceed to the new Parking Structure A.
Keep an eye out for our parking ambassadors who will help you locate a parking spot and get to Heford Hospital's screening location.

Where Do I Park?

Self-parking is available free of charge at Lot G (Lot E for overflow). Valet parking ($4, or $2 with a disabled placard) is available at Helford Hospital. New patients attending their first appointment at the main campus can valet for free.

If you're donating blood or visiting the Amini Center, enter the campus via Duarte Road, turning onto Circle Road. Parking is available in Parking Structure A. If you're going in for treatment at the Outpatient Imaging Center, please park directly in front of the building in Lot D.

Do I Need to Bring Anything with Me?

Yes. Please bring your photo ID, insurance card, proof of vaccination, or negative COVID-19 test (taken within the last 72 hours) with you to every appointment.

What Is the COVID-19 Screening Process Once I Arrive on Campus?

The primary screening area is at the entrance of Helford Hospital. This screening area will be open 24/7 and should be used by most patients. If you are visiting the Amini Center or the Outpatient Imaging Center, screening is available on site.

During the screening, we will ask you basic questions about any symptoms. If you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath, or your responses to screening questions indicate an elevated level of risk for COVID-19 exposure or infection, you will be brought to a designated area for further evaluation.

It is recommended that you arrive at City of Hope at least 15 to 25 minutes before your scheduled appointment to ensure you have sufficient time to proceed through the line.

For more information on our approach to managing COVID-19 and your care, please visit our COVID-19 Resource Hub.

Who Can Help Me Find My Appointment?

Do I Have to Pay for Parking Now or in the Future?

No. Self-parking is free for patients and visitors.
