Los Angeles-Area Evaluation and Treatment Center
City of Hope's Evaluation and Treatment Center (ETC) is a highly specialized facility that offers comprehensive, around-the-clock care for established City of Hope patients with urgent cancer-related needs or other urgent concerns. Located in the Geri & Richard Brawerman Ambulatory Care Center at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, the ETC is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. This ensures that our patients have access to the care they need, regardless of the time or day of the week.
Cancer Care for Urgent Concerns in the LA Area
With a distinguished legacy of serving patients for over a decade, the ETC stands out as the only urgent care center dedicated to cancer on the West Coast, providing a unique and vital service to our patients. Our facility has 15 private treatment beds and state-of-the-art technology and resources.
We recognize that navigating unexpected cancer-related symptoms and complications can be a harrowing experience for patients and their families. Consequently, we dedicate ourselves to providing emotional support and a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Our highly skilled team delivers personalized, empathetic care to our patients experiencing hematologic, oncologic, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and transplant-related complications. In addition, our health professionals are specially trained in recognizing and managing complex cancer-related issues and work closely with the primary cancer teams to ensure patients get the best-coordinated care during their visits.
Please note: Only patients under active treatment or follow-up at City of Hope are eligible to utilize the ETC. City of Hope in Duarte does not have an emergency department or urgent care center that is open to the public. For information on becoming a City of Hope patient, please contact New Patient Services.
