The Department of Medicine at City of Hope® provides leading-edge, evidence-based clinical care, emphasizing prevention and treatment of cancer and cancer-related complications. Some types of care we offer:

  • Addressing preexisting medical conditions, including gastrointestinal, heart and renal illnesses
  • Monitoring cardiac and renal function while a patient undergoes chemotherapy and teaming up with medical oncologists to preempt complications, which may require special vigilance and attention to optimize recovery
