Benefits

City of Hope provides a comprehensive benefits package to ensure the physical, emotional, and financial well-being of our employees. In addition to a comprehensive health and financial benefits program, members of City of Hope team enjoy regular opportunities for professional development and effective environmental stewardship.

Health Benefits

City of Hope offers several competitive HMO and PPO medical plans as a part of its benefits package, enabling individuals to choose the plan that fits them best. We also provide basic life, disability, and AD&D insurance to our employees free of charge, with the option of voluntary supplementary coverage. Additional vision, dental, and flexible spending account programs are also available on a voluntary basis at competitive rates.

Financial Benefits

There are two retirement benefits provided at City of Hope. For eligible employees, we offer a 403(b) retirement plan, funded by pre-tax employee contributions. We also offer an annual employer contribution to a 401(a) retirement plan, ranging from 2-10% of salary.

A number of additional voluntary benefits programs are provided as well, including auto, home, and pet insurance, legal services coverage, and a cancer indemnity plan.

In addition, opportunities to consult legal and financial professionals are available free of charge through our Employee Assistance Program.

Professional Development

The development of each of our employees is crucial to our overall success and strength. We therefore offer several opportunities for professional development throughout the year. We encourage employees to pursue continuing education courses at accredited institutions through our tuition reimbursement program, and we host an annual Learning and Professional Development Week to help employees engage in training that fosters professional growth.

For management and leadership training, City of Hope holds quarterly management development forums, which offers training from well-known experts in management skills, and training through the Leadership Academy, which is facilitated by leadership subject matter experts in a wide variety of topics.

Paid Time Off

Paid time off, including holidays (6 days/year), sick leave (10 days/year), personal leave (3 days/year) and vacation leave (2-4 weeks/year) is available to employees based on full-time equivalency.
