Preventive measures and updates

City of Hope | Mission Hills will reopen clinical appointments on May 26, 2020, and offer all services except infusions and injections, which will be offered again at a future date. Your care team will be in contact regarding these changes.
 
In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and California’s social distancing restrictions, we will be taking the following precautions to protect the safety of our patients and staff:
 
  • We are limiting the number of staff and physicians and staggering appointments to reduce crowding and support social distancing
  • Our physicians will continue to offer televideo and telephone appointments

The convenient location of City of Hope’s Mission Hills practice, just minutes from the 5 and 405 freeways and with easy access to the 118 Freeway, puts our patients within easy reach of additional medical, laboratory and diagnostic radiology services.

We are dedicated to creating a positive and healing environment in our spacious chemotherapy and infusion area. Features such as large and relaxing chairs, two private infusion rooms, warm blankets, a patient nutrition bar stocked with healthy snacks, and free guest Wi-Fi and iPads all contribute to making our patients’ time here for treatment as comfortable as possible.

Our multidisciplinary team of physicians, researchers, nurse practitioners and other health professionals work together on a wide variety of solid tumors from diagnosis to treatment. We offer our patients the latest advances in chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biologic therapy, targeted therapy and other innovative therapies.

Our surgical oncologists are highly skilled and versatile, each with expertise in the latest techniques for the surgical management and treatment of a wide variety of cancers.

Our surgeons are highly skilled generalists with expertise in a wide range of conditions and procedures, including appendectomy, gall bladder removal, hemorrhoids and hernias.

Our medical oncologists will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan using chemotherapy drugs, as well as other treatment options. We offer an open, comfortable and comforting environment with a compassionate and attentive staff to administer and monitor your treatment.

Our experts are advanced in robotic surgery and the use of HIPEC cytoreductive surgery in the treatment of gynecologic cancers.

Every medical situation — and every insurance plan — is different, and there is no guarantee that coverage can be secured. But it is reasonable to make this request, and to ask your insurance company to review the matter with City of Hope Medical Foundation directly.
