“Theranostics” has recently emerged as a compelling approach for the management of diseases such as cancer. Theranostics embodies identification of a targeting agent (small molecule, peptide, antibody/biological) which can be radiolabeled for imaging or delivery of a therapeutic radionuclide, thus providing the ability to both “see and treat”.
Inspired by the work of Dr. Art Riggs who pioneered the field of recombinant antibodies, the City of Hope is hosting an all-day symposium highlighting the latest developments in target identification, vector development, emerging radionuclides, and clinical translation of theranostic agents.
